This web site has been compiled by the Practice to explain the Medical Centre and its facilities.
The present practice really got started in 1980 when Dr Ian Kinnish arrived to take over a single handed practice, and moved it to premises in the Main Street. He was joined in 1987 by Dr Andrew Jackson MB, ChB, DPD (now retired), and between them built up the practice’s list size and facilities, until, in 1999, we moved into our current premises, specially converted from their previous life as the headquarters of Patricks Builders. Shortly afterwards, in 2000, Dr Ellyn McCulloch, MB BS, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP, became a partner, while Dr Gordon Wallace, MB, ChB, MRCGP joined in 2005. Dr Clare Bodey BSc (hons) MB.CLB MRCGP DCH joined as a salaried GP in 2012. With an efficient and friendly team to support them, the practice continues to grow and flourish.
Our philosophy is to combine the ideals of personal and friendly family practice with informed and up-to-date medical excellence. Perhaps that is why our Patients gave us one of the highest scores earned by a practice in England.
